Heart Lessons

We are all influenced by a mixture of spiritual mentors throughout our lives. While I have never met Tim Keller face to face, he has spoken deeply into my life through literally hundreds of sermons and his books. If you listen to my Heart Lessons, you’ll see many of his messages regarding: identity, idolatry (he’s opposed!), the cross, apologetics, and God’s love.

Gary Barkalow is a man I HAVE met and whom I deeply admire. His Calling from God (which is to help others find their calling from God) has given me hope and clarity, and increased my sense of Christ’s love for me. Do whatever you can to attend one of his Calling Retreats or read his book, Its Your Call. In addition, he has a blog site filled with meaningful words and videos. Visit Gary’s blog, you’ll be glad you did.

You will also see influences from Mike Bickle and his Friends of the Bride. Mike has spoken deeply to me of Christ’s bridegroom pursuit of our hearts.

  1. I am a fan of Tim Keller as well. I especially enjoyed his book “The Reason for God.” Thank you for stopping by my blog.

  2. Hi William,

Thanks for commenting here. I’ve moved my blog to a “self-hosted” site. As a result, few people visit my old wordpress site. Perhaps you could re-make your comment here: http://beliefsoftheheart.com/heart-lessons-2/

    Thanks,

    Sam
